Educational Background:
B.A., Psychology - University of Oklahoma (2002)
M.B.A, Marketing/管理 – University of Dallas (2015)
What were you involved with on campus as a student?
During my college years, I was involved in student government, the Black Student Association, psychology club, and served as both a fundraiser for Miss Black OU and program coordinator for the Miss Black and Gold Pageant
Favorite college tradition:
My favorite tradition at Marist is Freshman Move-In. Seeing all the eager and enthusiastic looks on students faces as they embark on this new stage of life is so special. I also love how our admissions team helps families with the actual move-in - granting them extra time to engage in Move-In Day programming and spend precious moments together before saying goodbye.
Favorite college memory:
My favorite Marist memory so far was hiking at Mohonk Preserve with the new freshman tour guides as part of an admissions team building exercise. The views were spectacular!
Best advice for the college search:
Two things: Adhere to deadlines and visit campus. The first can mean the difference between having options (i.e. gaining admission to your choice school and securing valuable scholarships) or…not. 另外, visiting a school is pivotal because you will be there for the next four years of your life (at least) and you want to be certain the fit is right.
Why did you choose to work for Marist:
I initially applied for the position because it seemed a good fit as I sought to grow professionally. 然而, the appeal of working with very talented people who communicate well with one another and genuinely love working with students was too much to pass up. I feel privileged to be a member of the admissions team and look forward to being a Red Fox for many years to come.
What makes Marist special to you:
The people – the wonderful faculty and staff really make the campus come alive for me. It is easy to be enticed by such an aesthetically pleasing campus but it is how our team comes together and cares for students (and one another) that really resonates with me.
